The annual spring membership meeting of the St Louis USBC Association was held on April 21.

The membership elected Darlene Elston as President of the association.  Also elected was Gary Voss as Proprietor Representative, Ericka Adams and Joe Rohlmann as Youth Directors, and Jean Muehlendyck, Donna Hawkins, Frank Barnhart, and Rodney Phillips as Adult Directors.  Congratulations to them.

On the dues increase amendment, the membership voted to approve the dues increase.  Therefore, Adult Dues for the 2012-13 season will be $18.  St Louis has not had a dues increase in ten years and we are hoping this will carry us for many years to come.

The national USBC convention has ended in Arlington, TX.  Of the thirteen amendments presented to the delegates, six of them were approved and seven were rejected.  You can see all the results on bowl.com.  At our league officers workshop, July 28, we will go over these and all the other changes for the new season.  Plan on attending.

The league officers workshop will be held on Saturday, July 28, at 1:00 PM at Tropicana Lanes.  We will distribute the league kits for next season and go over the new rule changes.

Then that evening, it is our annual Night at the Races at Fairmont Park.  Come join us for a fun evening.  Tickets are $25 each and includes all you can eat in the Black Stallion Room and racing program.

The Ed Sweeney Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 29 at Forest Park Golf Course.

St. Louis USBC Helps Remodel Missouri School for the Blind Bowling Center
Since the spring, St. Louis USBC has teamed up with the St. Louis Bowling Proprietors Association to renovate the bowling center at the Missouri School for the Blind.

To see some of the work already done, check out the photos on our newsletter page where we team up with Marquette High School students who designed the artwork used for the murals which were completed in April.
